Dialogue on Diversity

The SDCBA Ethnic Relations and Diversity Committee and California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP), in partnership with Association of Corporate Counsel San Diego (ACCA) and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA),present the second annual Dialogue on Diversity on Friday, October 24 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m..

This unique CLE and networking event will feature Michael Williams, General Counsel of Sony Electronics, Tara Bedeau, Executive Director of CMCP, and Ruthe Catolico Ashley, Chair of the American Bar Association Presidential Advisory Council on Diversity in the Profession.

SDCBA Publishes Guidelines for Effective and Professional Advocacy

The San Diego County Bar Association is proud to announce the adoption and introduction of the SDCBA’s new Guidelines for Effective and Professional Advocacy (Guidelines).

A committee of Federal, State and Appellate judges worked with a panel of attorneys to develop a best practices guide for attorney in San Diego County.  Guidelines is a companion document which supplements and reflects the recently released SDCBA Attorney Code of Conduct. 

Both documents were developed as part of the SDCBA’s multi-faceted 2008 Campaign on Civility, Integrity and Professionalism.  Both Guidelines and the SDCBA Attorney Code of Conduct can be found here.
