Program Overview

Build your client base through quality referrals from the San Diego County Bar Association's Lawyer Referral & Information Services. LRIS has been providing assistance to the public for 50 years, and the community looks to the San Diego County Bar Association for legal assistance. Each year, LRIS counselors field more than 50,000 calls from the public with various legal questions and problems.

LRIS screens each call to determine if the caller should be referred to an attorney. Only callers in need of legal assistance and able to pay an attorney are referred to LRIS panel members. Callers unable to afford attorneys' fees are guided toward community pro bono services or to attorneys in the LRIS Modest Means Program. When appropriate, counselors refer callers to community resources for non-legal help.

LRIS meets all Amercian Bar Association standards and is State-Bar certified.
