    How to Request an Attorney

We do not have walk-in-service. Please contact us by telephone or via e-mail.

    By phone:

Monday through Friday, PST, 8:30am-5:00pm at:
    619-231-8585 or 1-800-464-1529

When you call the Lawyer Referral & Information Service, you will speak with a counselor who is experienced in analyzing potential legal problems like yours. LRIS counselors are not lawyers and therefore, cannot give legal advice over the phone. They are very experienced however, in determining whether your situation requires the services of a lawyer, or, if another type of assistance may better serve your needs.

If a lawyer's advice is recommended, you will be given the name and telephone number of a licensed, insured and experienced LRIS panel member who can help you. Our counselors will consider your specific legal problem, as well as your location and language requirements in order to make the most appropriate and convenient referral possible.

The first 30 minute phome consultation or in-office meeting with the lawyer is free.

To enable our staff to provide the proper assistance, please be prepared to explain your legal problem.

    Online:

Fill out a confidential, private online request form.
You will receive a notification by email that we have received your request and are reviewing your information.

We usually contact you (by phone or email) the next business day.
