SDCBA Board of Directors Election
The SDCBA is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Board of Directors. Four at-large seats and one regional seat (East County) are up for election. Each Board Member serves a three-year term. To be eligible for the East County seat, candidates must have their primary office in the East County Division geographic area, or have served as president of the regional bar association in the past two years (in this case, the Foothills Bar Association in 2011 or 2012).
Any active California Attorney, in good standing, and a member of the SDCBA for at least three of the last four years at the time of the Board election can self-nominate by submitting a Candidate Nomination Form. The SDCBA will be accepting nominations now through 5 p.m., Thursday, August 1. Nominations may be submitted to the SDCBA at 401 West A Street, Ste. 1100, San Diego, CA 92101. Nominations may only be mailed or hand delivered, faxes will not be accepted.
According to the SDCBA bylaws, the candidate nomination form shall include the nominee’s declaration of candidacy, the nominee’s confirmation of his or her California Attorney Membership in good standing with the SDCBA for at least three of the last four years at the time of nomination, and any additional information requested. If, between the date of nomination and the date of election a nominee shall cease to be eligible, his or her name may be stricken from the ballot by action of the Board.
