The purpose of the Committee is to develop and review resolutions for submission to the Conference of Delegates of California Bar Association on behalf of the SDCBA. The appointment of officers to the Committee should be made at the November Board meeting following the Conference of Delegates in the fall. This permits the new leadership to be in place in sufficient time to deal with the early deadlines for new legislative proposals for the following year’s Conference. The identification and appointment of delegates for the following year should be made at this same Board meeting. The Committee officers will consist of the chair of the Delegation, a first vice-chair and two second vice-chairs. The Legislation Subcommittee shall propose legislative changes which are submitted to the Board in the form of resolutions for the Conference of Delegates of the State Bar in sufficient time to enable the Bar to file such resolutions in conformance with the requirements of the State Bar.
