YNLD is pleased to offer third year law students an opportunity to connect with practicing attorneys through its Law Student Mentoring Program. The YNLD Mentoring Program will pair up third year law students with practicing attorneys, with at least two years experience. Pairs will be matched based on professional and personal interests. The program is designed to give students insight into aspects of everyday legal practice. All participants will be invited to a kick-off event on October 8, 2010.
The YNLD is excited to announce the creation of YNLD Mentoring Circles. YNLD Mentoring Circles group attorneys with 0 to 6 years experience in mentoring circles based on practice area. Groups are divided into the following areas of practice: bankruptcy, business and corporate, construction, criminal, entertainment and sports, estate planning, family, general civil litigation, immigration, insurance, intellectual property, labor and employment, healthcare, personal injury, and tax. Prior to the spring kick-off event, participants will be placed in a circle with approximately 3 to 6 other attorneys. At the kick-off event, each group will have the opportunity to meet the other participants in their circle. The purpose of the circles is to allow for the exchange of ideas, experiences and expertise, with a group of individuals, rather than in a one-on-one meeting. These groups will foster networking with individuals, allowing all participants to receive advice, encouragement, and support in their area of practice.
Registration for the Spring 2010 YNLD Mentoring Circles Program has closed.
