2012 - 2013 High School Teacher Orientation
To receive the 2012-13 case materials, it is mandatory that at least one school staff representative from your team attend the Orientation meeting on either:

Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Monday, September 24, 2012 from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Orientation meeting will be held at the San Diego Office of Education at 6401 Linda Vista Road Room 306, San Diego CA 92111. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m and last at least one hour. The case materials will be distributed at the meeting. Student team members may also attend this meeting. A teacher sponsor or school administrator from the registered team’s school must register each team.
A registration fee of $375 per team is needed to participate in the 2012-13 competition and must be received no later than November 15, 2012. Scholarships are available to participating schools and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Competition Dates
The dates for the competition rounds are:
First Round: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 5:30 p.m.
Second Round: Thursday, February 28, 2013 @ 5:30 p.m.
Third Round: Saturday, March 2, 2013 @ 9:00 a.m.
Championship Round: Saturday, March 2, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m.

Student Forms / Permission Slips / Release Forms
Registration Form: Please complete the registration form and submit payment of $375 payable to San Diego County Bar Association. Please return no later than November 15, 2012.
Photo Release & Permission Forms: Please have all students who are participating in San Diego Mock Trial Competition complete the photo release form. All students under eighteen (18) must have a parent or guardian sign this form. Please also complete if there are any health or special needs and emergency contact numbers.
Scholarship Forms: Does your school want to compete in the San Diego County High School Mock Trial competition but is unable to because of financial hardship. Please apply for a scholarship. Scholarships are available to Title 1 schools or schools with a lack of sponsorship or resources.If your school would like to apply for a scholarship to pay for the $375 registration, please complete the “Application for Scholarship” form and submit to Michelle Chavez via e-mail at mchavez@sdcba.org or via fax at (619) 696-3987.
