Community Events
As part of the San Diego County Bar Association’s commitment to education and community service, the association often participates in events throughout the county, with attorney volunteers addressing legal questions from the public on myriad issues ranging from family law questions to landlord/tenant disputes. Check back here for an update on the Community Events the SDCBA plans to participate in.
August 8: Chula Vista Lemon Festival
The Third Avenue Village Association will squeeze a day of fun into your schedule by celebrating its 14th Annual Lemon Festival on Sunday, August 8, from 11a.m. to 7p.m. The event celebrates the heritage of
Chula Vista as the city was once self-proclaimed "Lemon Capital of the World" in the 1920’s.
August 8: City Festival
CityFest takes place in the heart of Hillcrest and is a huge celebration of community spirit through music, arts, crafts, and food and attracts 150,000+ attendees each year. CityFest will be on August 8, 2010 from 12 noon - 8 p.m.
September 29: Univision Ask-A-Lawyer
The San Diego County Bar Association will be hosting an “Ask A Lawyer” live television broadcast on Wednesday, September 29th with Univision. Lawyer volunteers will take call-in legal questions from the public on a Family Law issues. The event will take place on Wednesday, Spetember 29th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Univision TV.
Carlsbad Street Fair- November 7 2010
The Carlsbad Street Fair is the largest one-day street fair in the world, and it takes place twice a year. The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce fills the main streets of Carlsbad with over 850 vendors selling their products and services. Attendance at this one-day event reaches over 300,000 people. LRIS sponsored a booth at this event.
