Thanks to the time and effort of President Cirrus Alpert and President-Elect Gita Varughese, the Young/New Lawyers Division has enjoyed a recent explosion in membership, name recognition and reputation in the San Diego legal community. I am pleased to join YNLD during this exciting time of development and change as the new editor of the monthly e-newsletter.

As editor, I will put to good use more than a decade of experience in journalism and marketing by keeping my finger on the pulse of an ever-growing group of young attorneys. To make this publication a true reflection of the interests and concerns of YNLD members, however, I would greatly appreciate the input of our membership at large.

If you are interested in joining the e-newsletter writing staff, please contact me by October 1, 2007, at erindrenning@yahoo.com. Staff writers can dedicate as little or as much time as they choose, and active participation in this burgeoning group is a great resume-builder.

Alternatively, you may submit an article for consideration. The e-newsletter is published on the last week of every month, and an article must be submitted by the 10th of that month to be considered. NOTE: contributions will not automatically be published, and publication is at the discretion of the editor and YNLD board of directors.
