Thank you for considering hosting the NABE Communications Section Workshop in your city. We know you have a lot of Workshops to select from, so we’re happy you’re considering ours.

You may need additional information to share with your many bosses who will weigh in on this decision. So here you go:

About the organization and the event:

  • The National Association of Bar Executives (http://www.nabenet.org/) is an affiliate of the American Bar Association. NABE “is the only organization of its kind providing professional development and networking opportunities to bar associations across the country.”

  • Within NABE there are three Sections of membership. Communications is the largest, with about 280 people (and 110-120 regularly travel to the conference). Those people do the writing, editing, PR, marketing, social media, etc. for legal associations.

  • It’s the Communications Section that is seeking a location for its upcoming conferences. This Workshop is traditionally held in late September or early October, over a 3-1/2 day period (Tuesday afternoon through Friday afternoon).

  • For this Workshop, hotel room prices have traditionally been under $250.

  • The next-available Workshop for which we are seeking a host city occurs in fall 2020.

Below we ask you to provide a little detail about why your city would be a terrific choice for our awesome group of people. If you have questions while completing this, or are unsure about anything, please contact Section Chair Tim Eigo (tim.eigo@staff.azbar.org). And yes, if we decide to move forward with your location as the choice we love, we will seek a little more detail – but not a lot, so no worries.

And we should add: You don’t have to be an expert on educational programming or sponsorships. Though we’d love to work with you on those things, you should know we have expert committees working on those aspects – two less things for you to worry about!
