Legal Ethics Series: How to Successfully Implement the New Rules of Professional Conduct Into Your Practice

In follow up to the SDCBA’s 2018 Summer Legal Ethics addressing the State of Bar California’s nearly 70 new and amended Rules of Professional Conduct that became effective, Nov. 1, 2018, this series will address the “how to” and provide practical insight to successfully implement these rules into your practice.

Program one will cover California’s new and revised Rules of Professional Conduct change how lawyers must handle client funds. They also severely restrict use of “earned on receipt” retainers. In addition, the conflict-of-interest rules have changed—what is a “material limitation” after  all? Learn how to adapt your practice to the new ethical mandates.
