Save the Date: Info Session "How to Run for the SDCBA Board and Why Serve"

The SDCBA’s Leadership Outreach Committee will be hosting a series of Info Sessions where SDCBA members considering running for the Board of Directors—either now or in a future year—can come hear from past Board members. 

The discussion will focus on how to run for the Board (the qualifications, process, deadlines, other insights) and what candidates should expect for their service if elected to the SDCBA Board. 

The event will be set up as a webinar, and those potentially interested in running will hear a short presentation from past Board members then will have the opportunity to submit questions through Q&A to get feedback and have your questions answered. 

Our goal is to host these sessions early in the process so that you start thinking about running to join the SDCBA Board!

Here are some important dates to keep in mind regarding the SDCBA election in 2021:

• Self-nomination deadline: 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021
• Notice to candidates: Tuesday, August 3, 2021 (includes list of all candidates and request for statements/headshots)
• Deadline to withdraw: Tuesday, August 31, 2021
• Deadline for all candidate materials: Tuesday, August 31, 2021
• Voting period: October 13 – November 12, 2021
