Opening a new case can be filled with minefields for law firms. Conflict checks, information gathering, file hand-off and signing documents, all of which can impose huge burdens on both the clients as well as the law firms. A painful intake process will inevitably take the staff away from the valuable time they need to actually service their clients' legal needs. Hitting a roadblock while on-boarding a new client can result in unhappy staff, unhappy clients, as well as the immediate loss of revenue. Most of the time, the intake process is what is standing in the way of a firm getting past the revenue plateau that many experience. In this CLE, Michael Chasin of Lexicata will cover the nuts and bolts of setting up the perfect client intake process and streamlining that process with the use of different technologies.
