SDCBA Board of Directors Election


Are you interested in running for the SDCBA Board of Directors?  
Potential candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Has been an active SDCBA "California Attorney Member" in good standing for at least four of the last five years at the time of the Board Election;
  • Has been licensed to practice law for at least seven years;
  • Has demonstrated leadership as chair of a SDCBA Section or Committee, or as a member of another non-profit organization's Board of Directors (legal or community). 
  • In order to qualify to run for the regional seat, the attorney candidate must have his or her primary office in the geographic area, or have been a former president of the regional bar association within the last two years.

According to the SDCBA bylaws, the candidate nomination form shall include the nominee’s declaration of candidacy, the nominee’s confirmation of the election requirements listed above, and any other necessary information requested. If, between the date of nomination and the date of election a nominee shall cease to be eligible, his or her name may be stricken from the ballot by action of the Board.
