Lawyers in mid-sized firms have particular needs when it comes to their professional Association, and we strive to meet those needs and provide you with relevant opportunities. Attorneys have the ability to network with one another, find pro bono and volunteer opportunities, connect with the State and Federal bench, and learn valuable practice-management skills through our plethora of programs. Through the SDCBA, attorneys in mid-sized law firms can make connections with other attorneys across a wide-range of practice areas who may serve as their opposing counsel, or potentially co-counsel. Our listserves and dynamic e-communities allow attorneys to connect to one another and seek advice and information around the clock.
And through our member benefits program, mid-sized firms benefit from savings on services, such as professional liability insurance and court reporting, at discounted rates, often at better rates than larger national law firms are even able to access.
The SDCBA also offers opportunities for attorneys in mid-sized firm to create visibility as professionals and for their practices through leadership opportunities and professional development, in addition to allowing you to highlight your expertise by writing an article, or serving as speaker, panelist or leader for a CLE program. Opportunities also abound at the SDCBA to lead a section or committee, or lead a group in one of our ongoing community service projects such as Habitat for Humanity or Project Facelift.
