The division of retirement plans during a divorce can be daunting for any family law attorney. There are many different types of retirement plans and different ways to effectuate a transfer of the marital community’s interest in the retirement plans. There are also different issues associated with each type of retirement plan.
This seminar will provide information regarding:
• The basics of different types of retirement plans;
• What quirks and hidden issues you should look out for with different types of retirement plans; and
• How to effectively and practically divide retirement plans to maximize the benefits to your clients.
