Robert Dieringer is an attorney with the San Diego Elder Law Center. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, and received his BA from Colgate University, cum laude.

Robert’s community and leadership roles include serving as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego; Chair of the Elder Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association; Court Appointed Attorney for the San Diego County Probate Court; and Adjunct Professor at the Cuyamaca College, Paralegal Studies Program.

Robert is also the co-author of two legislative updates to the California Probate Code, including Resolution 06-01-2016, “Replacement of Dementia with Major Neurocognitive Disorder,” which modified Probate Code section 2356.5, and was adopted as SB 413 by Senator Morrell and signed by Governor Brown on July 24, 2017, and Resolution 02-11-2014, “Termination of Dementia Powers,” which also modified Probate Code section 2356.5, and was adopted as AB 436 by Assembly member Brian Jones and signed by Governor Brown on August 13, 2015.
