1 Program with Patrick Espinoza, Esq.

Mr. Espinoza has been a Deputy District Attorney in the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office for nearly 23 years. He is currently the Chief of the Sex Crimes and Human Trafficking Division. He previously served as Assistant Chief of the Sex Crimes Division and as Trial Team Leader in the Superior Court Division, North County Division and Sex Crimes Division. Patrick has tried over 100 jury trials to verdict. He has tried a broad range of criminal cases and civil commitments including sexual assaults, robberies, kidnappings, and murders. Some significant jury trials include: the Brittany Killgore “BDSM” cult murder case, the Derlyn Threats capital murder case and the Smith, Watkins, Williams Mission Beach home-invasion gang rape case. He has received the Prosecutor of the Year award and has been recognized twice for Outstanding Achievement by the Deputy District Attorneys Association for his jury trial work. Patrick received his B.A. from Stanford University and his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1994.
