Please join us for a dynamic panel presentation geared for new practitioners of international law. The panel will discuss a specific vignette where a US-based business will acquire a controlling interest in a Mexican business that is setup as a Mexican corporation. Emphasis will be placed on the differences between an international transaction and a domestic transaction, the differences in the laws of the countries involved, foreign direct investment limitations, foreign taxation, application of tax treaties, forum selection clauses and enforceability of contracts.
