The panel will discuss the real estate tax assessment appeals process, including (1) common fact patterns presented to the San Diego County Assessment Appeals Board, (2) the formal and informal administrative appeals processes used by the San Diego County Assessor's Office, and (3) the procedures and standards applicable to writs of mandate challenging the rulings of the Assessment Appeals Board.
