SDCBA Community Outreach and Volunteer Opportunities
The SDCBA encourages every member to volunteer their time either in pro bono legal services or general community volunteer opportunities. Join the many SDCBA members who volunteer their time and efforts for a variety of community oriented events and activities. Looking for a way to get involved but don't know where to start? The SDCBA offers attorneys, paralegals, judges and law students opportunities to work in many environments including with "at risk" children. Volunteer opportunities currently include: literacy days, Porter Readers, conflict resolution skills and Peace Patrol training, working on the SD County High School Mock Trial program, various opportunities with Crawford High School Academy of Law (including mentorship, internships, mock job interviews and Senior Exhibition judging), Wills for Heroes, Bench Bar Senior Lunch Services, Annual Law Week Poster and Video Contest, Service Members Civil Relief Act programming and the Bullyproof program.
Most Community Service Projects are reviewed and coordinated by the SDCBA's Community Service Committee. To join the Community Service Committee and to get notices of different community service opportunities, Click Here.
