Tomorrow night, Tom Homann LGBTQ+ Law Association is hosting its THLA Pre-Pride Mixer from 5:30pm-9pm at The Rail in Hillcrest.

Thursday night from 5:30pm-7pm, our New Lawyer Division presents its annual Summer Social at the Hard Rock Hotel; rock & roll attire encouraged!

All day on Friday, from 8am-7:30pm, USD School of Law hosts its 11th Annual USD School of Law - RJS LAW Tax Controversy Institute on campus at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Theatre.

And on Saturday morning, walk with the SDCBA in the annual San Diego Pride Parade!

This program examines how language, religion, culture, and community background may influence client decision-making in estate planning and may also contribute to misunderstandings or implicit bias in the attorney-client relationship. Participants will explore how such factors can affect communication, trust-building, information gathering, and access to legal services. Through discussion and case examples, attorneys will learn practical strategies to recognize and address potential bias, improve culturally responsive representation, and better serve diverse communities in estate-planning matters.
